change your mind, change your life
September is always a very important month for me: I don’t know if because it’s the month of my birthday or because it marks the passage between Summer and Autumn, but almost every year I take some big life decision that mark a big step for my evolution.
Just at the beginning of this September, three days after moving to Gran Canaria, I said no to the project I was working and investing in for several months. It was hard, but things were going in a way that didn't feel right to me nor aligned with myself, so I stepped out. Only one day after a complete new adventure was starting for me and Nino and I was beautifully surprised by the amount of help and support I received in a place where I literally know anyone.
Letting go of this project wasn’t easy; especially because the one who was supposed to be my business partner and also the reason I left, became abusive and manipulative. Few days after I was gone she started sending me several crazy vocal messages blaming me of many things that never happened, offending me and try to make me feel bad and destroy my self-esteem. She created a story that never happened, at least in my reality, and also found excuses to keep the money she was supposed to give me back.
Honestly I’ve never experienced anything like that and was emotionally pretty challenging. I felt so intimidated by her messages I had to block her number and move to another area of the island. At the same time I was surprise by my inner strength, trust and stability in this situation. Even if everything around me was falling apart I was OK with that, knowing deeply inside me that it was meant to be and it felt amazing.
I strongly believe, every day more, that we are the creators of our own reality and everything that manifests outside is a projection of our unconscious. I know it might sound unbelievable, but I experienced that when we say no to something is not good for us (work, relationship or whatever) we open the door for new opportunities and miracles.
It’s our energy and intentions attracting and rejecting every person, relationship, work, experience, emotion in our life.
Last week I was hiking with Nino and I talked with a guy I randomly met on the path. He told me that the week before he came back from the Camino of Santiago and the same day he got back to work he got fired. He looked pretty easy going about that, he was leaving again for a new Camino, supported by the government unemployment salary and that actually looked what he wanted. It made me think the Santiago experience gave him the chance to connect with his true will and desires and he had to get rid of that job that wasn’t aligned with him anymore. Of course he didn’t do it consciously but he made it happen.
“So if we want to change some aspect of our reality, we have to think, feel, and act in new ways; we have to “be” different in terms of our responses to experiences. We have to “become” someone else. We have to create a new state of mind … we need to observe a new outcome with that new mind.”
There is a meditation I am offering since a while in my work and it’s about visualizing your dream life. At the end of it some people share they weren’t able to see things clearly. They just had some feelings and impressions but not really a defined vision.
This is totally fine. First of all we are all different and while there is some people that are more naturally pulled to visual experience there are others that feel more with other senses. And also, what I think it’s important in that meditation is being able to experience how we want to feel in our ideal life. So it’s not so important to know exactly what kind of job you want to do, but how you want to feel when you get up in the morning and think you have to go to work, when you are doing it, how it is being with your partners or colleagues and how you feel when you are done with it and have your free time. Same for a relationship: you don’t have to envision how the person next to you is going to look like, but more focus on how you want him/her to talk to you, make you feel, love and support you. How you want to feel when you go to sleep in the evening and wake up together in the morning, how he/her talks about you when you are not there, how you feel when you are apart.
Creating these feelings in your body and mind will slowly make them real and you will be able to attract them in your life. You don’t have to worry about how to make it happen, but just get clarity on how you want to feel and the universe will take care of it and provide you with what you want in the most surprising way. We have to trust and believe in miracles, because they do exist.
Our work is being open to receive and allow them to happen.
If you want to try the meditation you can find it here.
Try to do without expectation or goals to achieve, as a kid playing for the first time with a new toy. If you like it try to do it as much as you can, ideally every day, and you will slowly become that person, shape that reality and attract everything you desire.
You just need to create a clear vision for your life and get clarity around what you want to attract. Then you have to let it go and trust. Don’t worry about how this is going to happen, especially if it looks impossible or unbelievable. The universe will take care of it and surprise you.
I’m not gonna hide it can be a long path (I am obviously still walking) with a lot of obstacles, detours, moments of struggle and despair. But eventually it will bring you a sense of trust that is priceless and switch your perspective from victim of the things that happen to you to the great creator of everything that you experience.
Don't forget you are not who you think you are. You are way more powerful, limitless and abundant than you believe and it's time to experience it in this reality.
If you want to know more about my process I wrote an article here a while ago. I am happy to hear your experience with the meditation, so feel free to share.
